+//"A Malay boy aged about 15 was taken by a tigress during tapping hours last week from a Malay kampong which borders on the jungle reserve in the Jendaram district says the Malay Mail. Three tapping lots which were adjacent were being tapped by Malay tappers who were all within sight of one another, one of whom was the elder brother of the victim taken. He states that he actually saw the tigress spring from the jungle on to the back of his brother as he was bending down to place his cup, and carry the body swiftly into the jungle. The two remaining tappers raised the alarm and with 'tomtoms' and tins entered the jungle at the point where the tigers had been seen to disappear. At some distance the boy's leg was found and some considerable distance farther the body, with an attempt at concealment beneath the undergrowth. The remains were brought to Kajang for investigation and inquest.
