Pemandangan sekitar Masjid Al-Ridha, Jenderam Hulu (Fahmi Abd Malik @ Facebook Jenderam Hill Villa, 20 Oktober 2023: "Fahmi Abd Malik").
(Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia @ Portal Masjid Malaysia: |"MASJID AR RIDHA").
Kronologi
1910-an: Surau dan Tapak Masjid
Rashid.” (“Dipetik dan diubah suai daripada Mohd. Lampiran 1: Permohonan
“District Office,
Kajang, 9th January 1911.
Reservation of 5 acres of land for a Mosque and Malay burial ground at Sungei Jendram.
Sir,
I have the honour to seek sanction for the survey and reservation of an area of about 5 acres as shown in red on attached tracing as a Mosque and Burial ground for the Malay community of Sungei Jendram.
2. There is a large and increasing Malay settlement at Sungei Jendram (27th to 29th mile Bangi-Salak road) and the land now asked for is centrally situated as regards the reserve. A mosque and burial ground are certainly required.
3. If approved, the frontage will be used for a Mosque and tanah Wakaf and the back portion for a burial ground - an arrangement which can be assured by issuing a burial license for the back portion of land only.
I have the honour to be,
Sir,
Your Obedient Servant,
?
Ag: District Officer,

1958-11-16: Pembukaan Semula: Pembersihan Masjid
Liputan Akhbar The Straits Times, 16 November 1958
“The return to Jenderam started about eight weeks ago when the Government lifted its ban on residence there.
But when the first 25 families of about 200 people came back to their town, they found emptiness everywhere.
The old mosque was there but the town's 400 houses had vanished. Of the Malay school opposite the mosque, only
cement posts remained. Jenderam's 1,000 acres of rubber smallholdings and 600 acres of padi land were a jungle
of lallang. Today, however, a few weeks after their return, 20 wooden houses have been put up along the main road; the mosque grounds are being cleared up; a coffeeshop and grocery has been opened and acres of lalang have been cleared. Money is needed to repair the mosque, build a new school, houses and cultivate the land,
and the Government has promised to help. …
…..
Raja Izam bin Raja Hussain, is not a former resident of Jenderam, but he came with the returnees as the town's new penghulu. “I have never seen a happier or more hard working people.” said Raja Izam. “They came back to desolation. Except for the old mosque, not a stick was left standing. Yet, within a few weeks, they have made Jenderam a semblance of a town. “I'm sure at the rate the people are rebuilding it, the new Jenderam will be an even better and more prosperous town.””
